books, toys & clothes

we love books!

Both Amy and I grew up with a love for reading - an appreciation that we are looking forward to passing on to our new one. I'm just going to come out and say that you can't go wrong with your selection. :)
We welcome any childrens books, whether new or used, and don't mind what reading level they are for.

The pictures above are of books that we've already received as gifts (!) or started giving to each other.

great toys

The pictures above are of cute wooden toys and stuffed animals that we like. I love the pull frog! We love the look and feel of the the plush toys, and the history that is associated with many of today's "retro" wooden toys.

After the crib project, and once the baby project is a little further along, Lee plans to build a wooden pedal-less bike for the little one to cruise around one. As for stuffed animals, they are the best toys ever. Everyone knows that.

If fur and lumber are too limiting, and you really want something more petroleum based, there is a great little Danish company you might have heard of that is worth looking at. They make awesome modular construction equipment - Lego's.

clothes :)

We hope us not finding out the baby's sex isn't aggravating too many of you (sorry, Grandma JoLynn), but we have found some extremely cute baby clothes in yellows, greens, beiges and even many blues and red shades. We are hoping for long sleeve onesies, as the kid will be born in the fall in New England, and it gets quite chilly quite quickly! (Ideas above - we have one with a seal pup on the front that is charming.)
